Doug Miller, founder and president of SatisFacts Research, has had marketing, research and training responsibilities for several thousand apartment communities nationwide since the mid 1980s. Doug is the multifamily industry’s leading authority on resident satisfaction research and Resident Relationship Management™, and is frequently published. Prior to starting his own businesses in 1996, starting in the late 1980’s Miller was Director of Marketing for several national and regional property management firms including NMHC Top 50 Forest City Residential.

Having worked with thousands of apartment communities, Doug is the industry's resident satisfaction research and retention authority. Doug spent the first 10+ years of his career in multifamily as Director of Marketing for several NMHC top 50 firms and a regional fee manager. Prior to that, Doug served as an Account Executive for a major regional ad agency, where he handled the advertising for over 30,000 units.

Why I want to be a Mentor

At the core, I have been built to give back - it is how I was raised. Anyone who knows me, knows that I would give the shirt off my back to someone in need. I adore helping people broaden their perspective, helping them achieve their dreams! I give back to the industry in many ways, including being frequently published in Units, etc., providing numerous education programs, and always trying to be there for anyone in need. Anyone who I can provide direction, research info, advise, counseling and the like to...I do...regardless of whether or not they are a client. I have been on a mission to help shift the industry's focus to being more so on residents - so I am driven to share.
