Harry Merrick

solve it.” — Harry Merrick — A third-generation ad guy,
Harry Merrick has lived and breathed advertising and
marketing his entire life. His family tradition goes back to
his grandfather, considered one of the pioneers of DC
advertising. In the 1960’s and 70’s, his father grew the
business into the fastest growing ad agency Washington DC
had ever seen. Once he graduated from college, Harry’s
course was already set in his mind: make a mark in the
advertising industry. Utilizing the knowledge gained
through his heritage, Harry gained experience through a
succession of advertising and industry-related jobs. Once he
felt that he was ready, it was his vision that created the
agency in early 1985 and his experience in marketing that
propelled Merrick Towle Communications to our current
success. A veteran in the advertising industry, Harry has
seen booms and busts, fads come and fads go, market shifts
and demographic realignments—and through it all he has
continued to lead the creation of innovative,
successful marketing campaigns. As the agency has grown
ever larger, Harry remains heavily involved in client
relations and provides his invaluable experience to
projects. To Harry Merrick, nothing is more important than
